Crescendo 2023 - A Celebration of Arts & Culture

Mark your calendars for an artistic journey like no other! Crescendo 2023, presented by the Office of Cultural Affairs for the Town of Hilton Head Island and the Arts Council of Hilton Head, is set to take place from October 7th through November 18th. This annual extravaganza is designed to celebrate National Arts and Humanities Month in October and aims to spotlight the rich tapestry of arts, culture, and history that Hilton Head Island has to offer.

What to Expect:

• Diverse Offerings: Over 100 unique programs, including concerts, theatrical shows, museum exhibits, lectures, and more. Last year's event drew more than 10,000 attendees from across the U.S., Canada, and parts of Europe.

Signature Events:

• October 10th: The Crescendo Community Celebration at Shelter Cove Community Park will feature live music, storytelling, and exhibitions, with a special performance by the Maharajah Flamenco Trio.
• October 20th: Experience the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra's Symphony Under the Stars at Lowcountry Celebration Park.
• October 25th & 26th: Don't miss the Historic Mitchelville Film Festival at Coligny Theatre.
• October 29th: Enjoy "Clue" at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina and the 9th annual Jazz For All Ages Festival featuring Clint Holmes & Niki Harris and the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra.
• November 18th: The Hilton Head Island Lantern Parade will light up South Forest Beach and conclude at Lowcountry Celebration Park.

Ongoing Exhibitions:

• "Intricate Oceans: Coral in Contemporary Art" at the Coastal Discovery Museum.

Additional Highlights:

The festival will also feature the opening weekend of "The Nutcracker," the Hilton Head Island Concours d'Elegance and Motoring Festival, La Isla Magazine's Latin Music Festival, and much more.
